About Us

Health & Nutrition Service of Racine (HNSR) was founded in 1981 to help support good health for residents throughout Racine County and the surrounding areas. We have grown to occupy two convenient locations in order to better serve our clientele. Our locations are on Rapids Drive in Racine and on Crest Street in Burlington.

Our purpose and mission is to provide nutrition education, consulting and referral services to clients and their families in an effort to prevent and remedy poor situations in support of good health. HNSR fulfills this through administering a special supplemental food and nutrition education program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Blood Lead Testing, and the Farmers Market nutrition program. We are also a First Breath provider, helping pregnant women, new mothers and their families quit smoking.
